SWINGING Inverness
has been named Britain's wildest spot for partner swapping
by a saucy website. Local-swingers.co.uk have signed
up more than 100 members from the city. They advertise
themselves as being up for a range of sexual activities
including bondage, threesomes and role play.
Some have even
shared explicit pictures with potential partners. Website
operators said membership from the area is particularly
large in proportion to the area's population.
The site's founder,
known only as Kevin, said: "In Inverness alone, there
are around 135 members. "In the central Highlands, we
have almost 200 members, which is a really high membership
for an area that size. "In the last few months, there
has been an upsurge of people joining the site."
He added: "Swinging
is more widespread in Inverness than people realise.
A lot of people have a lot of fun up there." Kevin insisted
the swinging scene was not perverted. He said: "It is
not dirty. It is just normalpeople who are out to have
a good time. "We meet a lot of members and they are
a great crowd." Kate, a 41-year-old Inverness woman,
said she first got into the scene to spy on her ex-husband.
She said: "If I am honest, I was just being nosy but
I love it. It is a great community and not seedy. "And
the parties are great for a flirt and a bit of banter."
